The cards hanging on the walls of my radio room/closet are called QSL
cards, which every amateur radio operator exchanges with other stations with whom he
speaks. The other certificates are awards that I have won. The kayak picture
of me was taken in Calamity rapid on the Cheat river. More on that later.




The big item is called a linear amplifier. it is capable of
generating 2500 watts of transmitter power.

Me lowering the tower with an electric winch that I installed after I
lost my leg. Prior to the loss, I was able to "walk down" the tower
manually by myself.
